God Of War Ragnarok Review
Santa Monica Studio has presented a sequel to God of War (2018) with the title God of War: Ragnarok. Kratos along with his son Atreus must travel to each of the Nine Realms in search of answers as the Asgardians prepare for a battle that will destroy the world. Santa Monica Studio has presented a beautiful mystical landscape in God of War: Ragnarok and certainly will not disappoint its fans. The following discusses God of War: Ragnarok from Artgtop.
Storyline
For those of you who don't know, the story of God of War: Ragnarok is continuing the story a few years after the ending of God of War (2018), where this time Atreus is starting to look big. Atreus was full of curiosity, where he wanted to understand many things. But on the one hand, Kratos felt anxious because he didn't want Atreus to feel what he experienced when he was in conflict with the gods. Their conflict this time will lie with Thor, the Norse God of Thunder who seeks revenge after the death of his half-brother Baldur and his two sons Modi and Magni. Odin who is the father of Thor and the King of the Norse Gods, and his partner who has become an enemy, Freya seeks revenge after the death of her son, Baldur due to Kratos in the previous game.
Smoother Graphics and Animations
The graphics themselves haven't changed much, but while playing, everything is really smooth, coupled with smoother animations than the previous game, there isn't the slightest lag when playing. From the falling snow and Kratos' steps through the snow to the smallest details can be seen. In battle, everything is very smooth. This is very important because like the previous games, there are not many enemies to fight, so our reactions with button presses to Kratos' movements must be appropriate and the reactions are on-time. This time, Kratos doesn't only start with the Leviathan Ax, but Blade of Chaos can also be used relatively quickly at the start of the game.
Addictive
God of War Ragnarok is a Third-Person hack and slash action game, of course the gameplay hasn't changed much from the previous game. But in addition, you can explore 9 realms where in the previous game, you could only explore 6 realms. You will play as Kratos with his ax weapon, the Leviathan Ax and his flagship weapon, the Blade of Chaos. Leviathan Ax has the element of ice and you can throw this ax at an enemy and then make the enemy hit by this ax freeze, then call it back into your hand (like Thor's Mjolnir hammer). Blade of Chaos has a fire element, where when you swing your sword it will be full of fire and can burn enemies. There's a new mechanic in God of War Ragnarok, where with the Blade of Chaos, you can use this weapon as a hook to cross ravines, pick up and throw objects at enemies, and many others.
These two weapons have Light Attack and Heavy Attack, and we have to use the right type of attack to attack these enemies, such as using Heavy Attack to thwart enemy attacks, penetrate shields, and Light Attack to carry out attacks as well as dodge more easily. In earlier games, shields were used to block attacks, or parry. In God of War Ragnarok, the shields are more varied. There are large shields that are more defensive, there are also small shields where these shields are usually used for playing badminton. For big shields you can withstand attacks and increase energy where when this energy is full, the shield will be beaten to the ground and release energy which causes the enemy to be knocked back. Meanwhile, small shields play more parry, where when you manage to hold off an enemy attack at the right timing, you can stun your enemy. Of course, there are still many types of shields that you can look for, so be diligent about exploring if you like to travel, it's pretty good looking for lots of items.
Conclusion
God of War Ragnarok is the sequel that gamers have been waiting for, especially fans. We can see beautiful scenery, fight new monsters and gods from Norse mythology, where we as Kratos and Atreus will face the gods who will destroy the world. God Of War Ragnarok is playable on Platforms PS4, PS5. Thank You.
